• Students have a hard time with this! (More comments to come if I ever figure out what makes it hard.) Try to make a transition from what you have been doing before.
• If you have not previously assigned them, you may wish to assign VC.02 problem G.4 ("Experiments with linearizations") and VC.03 problem G.9 ("Linearizations and total differentials"). Read the bugs for VC.03 if you are going to assign them together.
